Prof.Dr. İ. Özgür Yaman

Dr. İsmail Özgür Yaman received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Department of Civil Engineering at METU in 1993 and 1995, and earned his PhD in 2000 at Wayne State University, USA, with his work on the simulation of ultrasonic testing of concrete. He has been continuing his academic activities at METU Department of Civil Engineering since 2003.
Dr. Yaman's main research topics include the use of non-destructive testing methods in concrete; developments in cement and concrete technology. For the last ten years his focus is on concrete road construction technologies.
Having over 100 national and international publications, Dr. Yaman held various positions in international institutions such as TRB and EUPAVE, as well as national professional and research institutions such as IMO, TÜBİTAK, TÜRKÇİMENTO and THBB.
Prof. Abbas Aminmansour

Dr. Abbas Aminmansour is a member of the Structures Concentration faculty and Chair of the Building Performance Program in the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His areas of research and scholarship interest include design of steel structures as well as design of tall buildings.
Professor Aminmansour is an active member of technical committees in the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and serves on AISC's Committee on Manuals and Technical Committee 4 of the AISC Committee on Specification. His work has been adopted by AISC several times and included in the AISC Manual. His most recent work is what is referred to as the super table in Part Six of the AISC Manual. He is the recipient of the 2015 Special Achievement Award from AISC. Professor Aminmansour is currently developing an integrated cloud-based book and software for the design of structural steel members.
Dr. Aminmansour is a current member and past Chair of the Chicago Committee on High-Rise Buildings (CCHRB). He is also an active member of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) where he serves on the Editorial Board of CTBUH's International Journal of High-Rise Buildings. CTBUH recognized Dr. Aminmansour as one of four 2022 Fellows selected globally for this honor.
Prof. Manousos Valyrakis

Manos got trained as a Civil Engineer with focus on hydraulics, getting both his MEng and MSc degrees from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He got awarded his PhD in river engineering, from Virginia Tech (USA). After a one year postdoc, he joined the University of Glasgow, as an Assistant Professor in Hydraulic Engineering and manager of the Water Engineering Lab, where he has led hydraulics research and teaching, for more than a decade.
He has also held visiting Professor posts in several universities and aspires to help bridge theory with applications, by developing new flow and sediment transport measurement devices that allow to better observe and monitor these highly dynamical processes.
He serves the hydraulic engineering community through active memberships in professional societies, such as the International Association for Hydroenvironment Research (IAHR), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE). He has served in IAHR's Experimental Methods and Instrumentation (EMI) leadership team and ICE's Reservoir Safety Advisory Group (ReSRAG) aiming to bridge theory with practice.
Prof. Dr. Yasin Fahjan,

İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi İnşaat Mühendisliği Bölümü’nde Yapı ve Deprem Mühendisliği alanında akademik ve araştırma faaliyetlerin sürdürmektedir. 1992 yılında Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi İnşaat Mühendisliği Bölümü’nden Lisans derecesini alan Yasin FAHJAN Master Derecesini 1994 yılında aynı bölümünden almıştır. 1998 yılında Boğaziçi Üniversitesi İnşaat Mühendisliği Bölümünde doktorasını tamamlamıştır. Deprem riski değerlendirmeleri, zemin-yapı etkileşimi, sıvı-yapı Etkileşimi konularında güçlü bir altyapıya sahiptir. Yapısal analizler, hızlı müdahale ve erken uyarı sistemleri, kuvvetli yer hareketi simülasyonları ile ilgili çeşitli eğitimsel ve ticari kodlar ve algoritmalar geliştirmiştir. Türkiye Afet ve Acil Durum Yönetimi Başkanlığı tarafından deprem sonrası kurtarma operasyonları ve ülke çapında risk değerlendirmesi ve yönetimi için işletilen AFAD-RED sisteminin ana geliştiricisidir. Ayrıca Türkiye'de ve yurt dışında birçok öncü mühendislik projesinde deprem mühendisliği danışmanı olarak çalışan Prof. FAHJAN, ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde birçok araştırma projesinde ekip lideri olarak yöneticilikler yapmıştır. Birçok hakemli dergide ve konferanslarda önemli yayınları bulunmaktadır.
